Attorney Chavez earned her juris doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2022 at the exceptionally young age of 21. Throughout her time in law school, Attorney Chavez served as vice president of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) Florida State University Chapter, reflective of her longstanding dedication to advocacy work, community engagement, and justice for her clients.

Prior to joining Goldberg and Rosen, Ms. Chavez’ legal background included working with organizations focused on public accountability, including the Ben Crump Law Firm, the Innocence Project of Florida, and the Southern Poverty Law Center. Through these experiences, Ms. Chavez participated in unprecedented civil rights litigation which resulted in national change. Her experience also extended well beyond civil litigation. Through her work with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, Ms. Chavez engaged with legislative bodies to rigorously advocate for her community. This foundation sharpened Ms. Chavez’s ability to stand up to public institutions, insurance companies, and powerful corporate defendants.

After dedicating herself to public service, Ms. Chavez gained the ability to listen deeply, advocate fearlessly, and fight powerfully against institutions that fail to protect people.
