A proud Miami native and daughter of Cuban immigrants, Jessica Clark brings a deep appreciation for the importance of a fair and impartial justice system and is driven by a commitment to advocate for those whose voices might otherwise go unheard. Ms. Clark graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University, where she obtained a dual degree in political science, business administration, and international business. She then graduated from Cornell Law School, where she served as vice president of the school’s first-ever chapter of the Cuban American Bar Association and vice president of speakers of the Federalist Society.
Ms. Clark brings a diverse litigation background to Goldberg & Rosen, with experience spanning both plaintiffs’ and defense work in complex civil matters. Before joining Goldberg & Rosen, Ms. Clark completed a two-year federal clerkship in the Southern District of Florida, where she gained invaluable insight into the various stages of litigation and the federal court system. During her clerkship, Ms. Clark assisted Judge Martinez in managing his civil and criminal dockets, which included drafting orders and advising the Court on an array of issues, as well as preparing for hearings and trials. She personally managed one-third of Judge Martinez’s civil docket—approximately 100 active cases.
Prior to the clerkship, Ms. Clark practiced commercial litigation at two litigation boutiques, where she represented clients in high-stakes disputes. Her practice focused on both plaintiffs’ and defense work including complex commercial litigation, securities, and class actions, and pertained to cases litigated in Florida state and federal courts. Now, as a dedicated advocate for injured plaintiffs, Ms. Clark draws on this well-rounded background to anticipate defense tactics, build strong legal arguments, and maximize results for clients.
