Ruth Gonzalez has been a resident of Miami Dade County since 1972. Ruth has been a valuable member of the Goldberg & Rosen for the past four years. Ruth Gonzalez received her education in Miami earning a Legal Secretary Certificate and a Law Office Management Certificate from Florida International University. In 2008, Ruth graduated from the Paralegal Program at the University of Miami. Mrs. Gonzalez has worked in the legal field since 1993 and has been fortunate enough to work for high caliber firms her entire professional career.
Mrs. Gonzalez’ areas of legal experience include admiralty and maritime, personal injury, civil litigation, medical malpractice and products liability. Ruth is personally involved in every trial and she oversees the progression of the most intricate cases in litigation. Goldberg & Rosen prides itself in possessing the necessary manpower and resources to handle catastrophic injury, wrongful death and complex medical malpractice cases. Ruth’s work has, and continues to be, absolutely essential in our successful litigation of these types of cases. In fact, one would be hard pressed to find a litigation paralegal as well versed and as experienced as Ruth Gonzalez.
Throughout her career, Ruth has personally spearheaded legal efforts in some of the most high-profile admiralty law cases in recent history. In 1998, her work was paramount in obtaining a multi-million dollar tender of policy limits in the infamous “Wave Dancer” case, a case in which twenty people perished. Mrs. Gonzalez also participated in the litigation team that achieved another multi-million dollar settlement on a case in which a boiler exploded aboard the S/S Norway in 2003. Four people tragically lost their lives on that day. Mrs. Gonzalez considers obtaining just reparations for the family members of these victims as one of the greatest accomplishments of her career. In addition to her active participation in the Litigation Department at Goldberg & Rosen, she has worked in the Pre-Litigation Department and has served as Mr. Glen Goldberg’s personal litigation secretary.
Ruth’s entire family is Cuban-American and they are all permanently anchored into the Miami Dade Community. She feels especially linked to the people of this community that have been severely injured as a direct consequence of someone else’s negligence. It is this special bond with the Miami Dade County community that continues to motivate Ms. Gonzalez and perpetuate her stellar efforts to seek justice for our clients. Goldberg & Rosen considers her a very valuable asset to the team.
