Judd G. Rosen, Esq
Mr. Rosen was born and raised in Miami-Dade County, Florida. He graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts at The Florida State University with honors. At Florida State Mr. Rosen majored in English Creative Writing where he developed and honed his skills that will be used as a future litigator. He also obtained a minor in Communications where he served as a teaching assistant in the Florida State University Speech and Debate Department.
Mr. Rosen was also a Member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. Mr. Rosen attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At the University of Miami, Mr. Rosen obtained multiple Dean’s List Awards and was awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in receiving the top grade in his class for Evidence. Mr. Rosen also obtained the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement, Book Award, for his performance and Mastery of the Rules of Evidence.
At the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Rosen thrived and excelled in all of his litigation courses. He received the highest honors at the University of Miami’s renowned Litigation Skills Program for excellence in trial work and received an additional highest honor for his excellence and pretrial work. Furthermore, Mr. Rosen competed in the schools first year Moot Court Competition and was crowned the champion of the schools Moot Court Competition.
The University recognized Mr. Rosen’s contribution when it granted him the Louis Phillips Endowed Scholarship Award in the spring of 2000. Mr. Rosen was able to obtain all of these achievements while attending the University of Miami and working over thirty hours a week as a law clerk for his future partner Glen Z. Goldberg.
Currently Mr. Rosen has gone against and defeated some of the largest insurance companies and corporations in the United States. Recently, he was featured in an article in the Miami Daily Business Review where he forced Sears Roebuck and Company to pay $70,000.00 in judicially ordered sanctions as a result to failing to turn over discovery within an appropriate guideline. Mr. Rosen prides himself on providing excellent service to each and every client. At Goldberg and Rosen we provide the gold standard of care to all of our clients. We treat each and every person individually and welcome each client as if they are family to our firm.
In his first six years of practice, Mr. Rosen obtained verdicts in excess of 1 Million Dollars, and on multiple occasions, verdicts of more than double the insurance policy limits applicable to the individual claim. Most recently, Mr. Rosen obtained a verdict in excess of $214,000.00, on a case where the highest offer from State Farm Insurance Company was $3250.00. This was clearly a bad faith situation, where after State Farm made its initial offer, they removed it from the table in an attempt to “force Mr. Rosen to trial.” The substantial jury verdict was the voice of our community, letting State Farm know that these types of cases handled by our firm are not to be taken lightly.
Mr. Rosen is extremely active in our legal community. He is a past member of the Florida Bar Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee (UPL). He is a member of the Dade County Bar Association. He actively serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Justice Association (formally the Dade County Trial Lawyers Association). He is on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Justice Association. He has published multiple articles in the law journal for the Association of Florida Trial Lawyers regarding medical malpractice and trial tactics. He is a member of the National Justice Association, formally the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Furthermore, Mr. Rosen has been asked by the Florida Bar to lecture to young lawyers in Miami Dade County and Tampa regarding evidence, and specifically the art and law of impeachment.
“Growing up, both of my parents were public school
teachers, and I credit them for showing me the importance
and enjoyment that comes with an education. They also
taught me to fight for what I believe in.”
Mr. Rosen regularly attends career day at his mother’s middle school where he shares stories of being a trial lawyer and puts great emphasis on education and making the right choices in life.
